FAQ

What is an aura?

An aura is a subtle field of electromagnetic energy that emanates from all human beings. Emerging directly from the chakras, the aura is expressed as a multi-colored body of light that surrounds a person. It is commonly accepted that advanced forms of technology, such as the AuraVS, can interpret a person’s electromagnetic energy to produce a visual representation of the aura on a computer screen.

The colors exhibited in an aura have specific meanings, and reveal one’s spiritual and physical health. Though they are reflective of a person’s core nature, auras often change and fluctuate based on a variety of factors, including external pressures, stress levels, physical fitness, emotional health, and more.

What is a chakra?

According to ancient wisdom, chakras are the energy centers within our bodies that allow energy to flow in and out of the aura. The word chakra literally means “wheel” or “disc” because the chakra is thought to rotate and thereby transmit the energy our bodies thrive on.

There are 7 main chakras which are located from the base of the spinal column to the forehead. Each chakra is associated with a specific color and characteristics. It is said that as your chakras allow energy flow in and out of your aura, your aura’s appearance is affected. Therefore, the prevailing belief is that the color of your aura depends primarily upon which chakras are most dominant in your life.

What is the history of auras and chakras?

The idea of chakras originated in ancient India. The Vedas, which are Hindu texts of knowledge from roughly 1000 BCE, are the earliest known sources to mention chakras specifically. There are parallels in other cultures and belief systems, such as Taoism, the Jewish Kabbalah, ancient Norse and other Germanic tribes, and indigenous Western people such as the Hopi. There is even speculated influence on great western thinkers such as Plato.

Auras likewise have ancient roots. Ancient Egyptian art often depicted the aura. Eastern religions embraced the idea of energy as the source of life. Westerners may be familiar with the depiction of glowing light, or “halos,” around the heads of saints, angels, or God in religious art.

For centuries, it was thought only specialists could observe and interpret auras. Then in 1939, researcher Semyon Kirlian discovered a complex process by which he could take a photograph of the electromagnetic energy surrounding living things. In the 1970s, UCLA researchers built upon Kirlian’s work, and throughout the decades, aura photography and imaging has become more and more accessible. Today, with the assistance of digital multimedia technology and the AuraVS, everyone can benefit from knowing exactly what their aura says about them!

Why are auras and chakras important?

Because auras and chakras are similar to the “battery charge” for your body, you can gain tremendous benefits simply by having a basic understanding of how they function – and their condition within you.

AurasIf you are out of balance in any area of your life, it is said that the chakras and aura will reflect it. As you work with the information your energy is providing you, you will become empowered to make important improvements in your life – the kinds of improvements that lead to healthier relationships, better self-esteem, a more fulfilling professional life, increased wellness, and much more.

What is a session with the Aura VS like?

Sessions with the AuraVS are engaging and enlightening. Here’s what you can expect:

  • You (or your clients/customers) sit in front of the AuraVS and place your hand on a Gelpad Biosensor.
  • The Biosensor measures your energy and interprets the data by projecting an image of you and your bio-energetic field on the computer screen.
  • You'll watch your aura image adjust whenever an emotional, mental, or physical change occurs – right before your eyes.
  • You can print dozens of high quality reports which you can take with you and use to make profound improvements in your life. Reports include the Aura Photo Headshot, Full-Body Aura Chakra Image, or the multi-page combination reports. You can also print several 4x6 postcard sized photo quality reports.

How long does it take?

The actual process of the AuraVS reading someone’s physiological information takes only a few minutes. With one click printing you can have reports ready in as quick as 60 seconds.

Is there scientific evidence to support the existence of auras and chakras?

In the past, it was thought only specialists could perceive and interpret auras and chakras. But as technological advancements have been made, their existence has been corroborated scientifically.

More specifically, the fact that all living organisms are surrounded by electromagnetic energy is now an undisputed fact – and technology has been developed to measure this energy both in laboratory and treatment settings. EKGs measure the heart’s electrical impulses. EEGs measure the electrical currents in the brain. Static meters measure the electrostatic fields surrounding the entire human body.

Kirlian photography, a 1930s development that allows one to capture live images of auric energy, was a major breakthrough in terms of scientific support for the existence of auras and chakras. Over the past several decades, as the process has been honed and refined, sophisticated technologies such as the AuraVS have evolved to capture and interpret the body’s energetic data through biofeedback imaging.

What is biofeedback technology?

Biofeedback provides physiological information by means of external instruments. Using a thermometer to take one’s temperature is a common example of biofeedback. Clinical biofeedback follows the same principle, using specialized instruments to monitor various physiological processes as they occur. Moving graphs on a computer screen and audio tones that go up and down “reflect” changes as they occur in the body system being measured.

The AuraVS functions in a similar way. The AuraVS measures a person’s unique electronic signature, and then interprets that data as a visual representation of an aura on a computer screen.

Do people really like seeing their aura?

Yes! Some people enjoy seeing it for fun; while others immediately understand the holistic benefits of seeing their aura and the opportunities it presents to help them as an individual. Many people are visual learners and this is an easy way for them to understand their body, mind, and personality. Other people like seeing the before and after photos after receiving treatment.
